Sorry for the delay in updating the blog.....
"Man-yi" (um, weird? that's my mom's name!!!!) typhoon hit southwest Japan (mostly Okinawa, Kyushu, and Shikoku) last weekend.... Giuli and I got soaked by the nonstop rain in Kyoto but no major damage to us or my home...
The large earthquake hit Niigata prefecture on Monday morning, but I had no idea until later on that day... (I was on a fishing boat. Stay tuned for pics). Shows how remote I am!
